Fan Factions: Creepy or Not?

Does any one else thing that fan fictions involving idols and actors creepy? There are two types of fan fictions. The first is one containing two idols from the same group that fall in love or something and the second involves an unknown girl and an idol. I think the unknown girl usually represents the person who is writing the story.

I know of two websites where you can read fan fictions: wattpad.com and asianfanfics.com. There might be more websites but these are the only two that I’ve heard of. I’ve never read any fan fictions and I can’t bring myself to read one. I think fan fictions are just down right creepy.

Maybe I don’t have the imagination to write a fan fiction where two idols fall in love with each other. Personally if I’m going to write a story involving my favorite idol I’m going to make them fall in love with me. I feel that the fan fictions have no sense of reality. People see what they want to see.

The second type of fan fictions that involve a random person and an idol, it’s more if a girl’s fantasy. I don’t want to read some girls fantasy involving their favorite idol. I love K-Pop but I don’t obsess over they guys. Yes I have bias but I don’t fight over them. I know I will never get close to them, become friends and all that good stuff. I think some girls have this unhealthy obsession.

I know everyone has a fantasy or two about meeting their favorite idol but most don’t put them on paper for everyone to read. I guess fan fictions can be done in a tasteful way but I doubt people write them that way. I tried reading a fan fiction that was not K-Pop related and I could only read the first paragraph. I find it hard to read a fan fiction where you “know” the people your reading about.

Then I think to myself “Do idols read fan fictions?” and “Do they like reading fan fictions about themselves?” Do these idols read these fan fictions and just find them flattering or just down right creepy? If I read a story involving a random person and me I would be freaked out. I’ve heard some of them contain sexual content and that is creepy.

My opinion is if you want to write a story about your favorite idols don’t publish it. Keep them to yourself or between you and your friends. I don’t understand why people would even want to read about someone’s creepy fantasy involving an idol.
