“Blockbuster” by Block B is my all time favorite album I own. This
album was released in the October of 2012 and the title song for this album is
“Nillili Mambo”. I’m not too sure which song I listened too first. It was
either “Nillili Mambo” or “NalinA”. But I want to say it was “NalinA” that
I watched first. But I really liked the song so I looked into more Block B’s
work. That’s how I came across Nillili Mambo. It was such a fun song and I
loved their little girl screams at the end of the video as they run away. It
makes me laugh every time. Then “11:30” and “로맨틱하게” found their way into my playlist. Zico and
dreadlocks just looked weird, I was glad when he cut his hair.
I
actually discovered this group while they were going through their lawsuit with
their previous record label. When I found this out I was sad since I wasn’t to
sure if they would perform as a group again or if they would split to pursue
individual carriers. I was glad when they signed to a different label and made
comeback with “Be the Light” and then “Very Good”. When I first discovered them
I watched their “MTV Match
Up” with B1A4. Because I was new to them and this was a good way to learn more
about the members.
From
what I read Block B had the support of their fans and everyone waited for their
comeback. The members are very talented and they could have only grown from
their controversy with their former record label. I am glad they made a
comeback and now I am a big fan of theirs. I’m not to sure what their fans are
called, but I read some were that they were called BBC. Whatever the fans are
called I am proud to be one of then.
The album came in a clear plastic sleeve that had the two skeleton
hands holding hands. When you take the sleeve you have the case. The CD sits on
the front of the cover behind the clear plastic. The top half of the case has
buildings on it and the bottom half has swirly things, its very cool looking. I
assume the skeleton hands are boy and girl. The booklet isn’t attached to the
case. It comes out easy, so if your not careful it tends to fallout sometimes.
The booklet isn’t as stiff as some of the other booklets I’ve looked through. I
don’t know if that has to do with to not being connected to the actual case. I
don’t think the pictures correlated with any of the songs from the album.
The album contains nine songs, one interlude and two
instrumentals. I really loved BTS “O!RUL8,2?” but I loved loved loved this
album. There was just something about this whole album that drew me in and kept
me in its hold. I couldn’t even begin to pick out my favorite song. I love all
of them all equally and enjoy every single minute of this album.
Would I recommend this album? Yes. Go out and buy this album. Like
right now. It is just so awesome you can’t even believe it. If you don’t
believe me go to YouTube and listen to the album and listen to it. I know
everyone had his or her own taste in music, so I wont be mad if you don’t like
it.
